It was great to hang out with them and also with the Jovens. Todd and Beth took us to a Mexican Buffet this evening, and it was soo good. They had tones of different foods I tried, and they had the best cake, and icecream!!!!! We all camre back to the property for one last worship! It was a wonderful night and it was soo clear that God was present in our hearts!!!
It has been such an amazing trip, and I m anxious to see how God is going to work in my heart over this next school year!!!!

Today we went to the caderayta and did outreach. We made the people and kids tostadas! We took the Granger group which is around 40 people. We also worked on the church roof doing electric tubing. We ran most of the conduit for the electric and marked where lights fans and outlits will be. We also worked on bending and forming rebar for beems. It was a hot day of 104 and the sun was beating down on that roof. It was an eye opener to see the whole area of houses from above. It is just crazy to see the poverty and the way people live. I am too lucky!!! But to see God in the eyes of the people is something amazing!!!
Great day!!

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. "

Today we went to Rio 3 with Jim and Betty. we did alot of clean up in the back building, so we can start taking it down to expand the clinic! The steps we poured look great and the floor in the farthest room is finished. We walked around alot today in the neighborhood. We brought a bed to a family across the river. As we went inside the home, my heart dropped. no walls, partial roof, 6 kids, no shoes 1 bed, dirt floor. Someone always lurking to steal things, so they have to stay to watch the stuff. I was devastated at what I saw. Never have I ever been invited into a home at one of these places, and I am glad to have the opportunity to see it today. As much shock as I was in I could feel Christ presence in the place. The hospitality as the lady rushed to clear of a chair and put a towel over it so I wouldn't get dirty. Her passion for the ministry and Love for her kids and the people around her. The thankfulness for a twin bed for her kids to sleep on. I have a full size bed at home, and I complain when it is to lumpy or , ha, not big enough. I should be lucky to have a bed, let alone a roof that covers my head and a floor to support me. I spend most of my life on the "necessities" and not enough on what God truly wants for us. I don't always need my cell phone, or my nice comfy pillow, or the nice cool AC. Shelter being our theme, is not a physical thing, but a spiritual thing. The shelter that God gives us just to follow him. His Love and passion to bring us into eternity with him, and the fact that he got up there and died for us. he was tortured, beaten, abused, crused and killed....for us. So that we can have life with him, and live in the shelter of his Holy name. Today we gave them a bed,..I felt like I would rather stay and build a roof over there heads. but to see there hearts full of Christ and to know he is working in there home, was more than any material thing they could ever want.

This evening a Jay Tyler Courtney and I drove out to the big bat cave. each evening over a billion bats fly out of an old mining cave. I have heard it is soo cool. well we got there and waited...and waited..and they never flew out. I think we may have got there to late. haha. But as we waited it got darker, and we realized how clear the sky was, and how dark it was. we laid out and just gazed at the stars for a couple hours. It is soo fantastic what God has created and the opportunity he gave us to see it tonight. We saw a shooting star, and we think about 20 satalites, or UFOs. May be aliens not sure...haha. It was great to relax in the peace of the night and pray, thanking God for all he has done. As this summer is quickly coming to an end, I am finding that I am trusting in Gods plan more and more each day. I have to and realizing that things happen in his time is critcal. It is tough, but knowing that life is so much better with him is amazing!

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."

Happy Birthday Grandma Geiger!!! Love you!! Today we went to ERJ and did the ropes course. It was a great hot day!! haha. Luckily we were in the shade of the trees most of the day!! The group had a great time and they really connected together! Most of them did the leap of faith, where I was in the tree helping them up!! It was a little freeky at first, I am just not a big heights man!! haha. I like my feet on the ground! But each day I fid God challenging me with something new! This morning the water pump on the Girls house went out. The house on the property next door is where the girl interns stay. But the family still lives on the 2nd floor. so when the water or electric goes out the whole house is out. The family is in Mexico city for a while except for the wife. She had no clue what was the problem. The house runs on a pump well system, where there is a pump that brings water into a well and then another pump that brings water to the house. The pump going to the house was out and no electric. Maricio and I worked on it this morning for a couple hours and fixed the electrical, which lead to the switch being messed up, and the tankto full. So after a crazy time trying to epty half a 3000 gallon tank we finnally got the pump working again. Unfortunatly since the swicth is bad the water may come of and on untill we get a new switch!! Although hectic, I learned alot of pluming and electric today and it was great to trust God in teaching me and in helping us solve the problem. What challanges will you bring Tomorrow God!!!!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!! 25 years!! haha. Today 3 new groups came. Granger community church is huge so we split them into two groups. so it is actually 4 groups. We have a total of about 80 group members this week! We had a pool party with MdA, VdJ, and Bethesda today!!! The kids had a blast swimming and the groups had fun!!!! Vita cooked Tacos for everyone. It was a lot of Tacos haha. very good though!!! I think I have actually gained weight down here Vita feeds us soo well!! haha. This morning we did alot of prep for the groups. I did some electrical work in the girls dorm where a couple of lights went bad. I checked all the transformers and changed a couple. One of the big lights was a pain. I had no light, just a dinky flashlight, and I was having all kinds of problems. I changed the transformer and it didnt work, I thought I switched a Wire and that didnt work so I switched it back, Its Mexico so the color of the wire never means it it is the hot or white. ahhh it was driving me nuts. So after about 30 min, I Finally figured out that I replaced the wrong transformer. Ugh!! It was crazy!! It was a great challenge though and it was good to see how it applies to my life. That getting frustrated never solves the problems, and that when I relaxed and trusted God, my answer came and I was able to fix it. I think that alot of times I struggle with not receiving an answer from God, but when I say I am relax or that I truly trust him, I am just telling my self that so I can get an answer. But he is way to clever!!! He is a God that is nothing like us humans. Thats why hes God and I am clueless haha. What I am really trying to say is that really showing God you trust him takes more than Just telling yourself you do and and trying to make yourself believe. I find that when I am truly patient, which is not easy for me, that I find God revealing many things, but it is with full faith and confidence that his word is what is truly best for me. I can truly say that I trust God in whatever he brings to me. I struggle with this many times, just because it is that true Faith that takes us to God, and as humans we are all sinful. Thats just the nature we are. But we have a God that forgives us, and Loves us no matter what or who we are. That trusting him is radical! But....Thats what God wants. Trusting in him and becoming a better me because of it. Whether times are rough, things dont go the way you want, you dont get a Job, a part in the play, an internship, or when a transformer just wont work, or when God seems like the farthest thing from Life, hes there, and trusting him is just as easy as checking to see if you changed the right transformer. I find I struggle many times by this, but it is reminding myself and continuing to pray for Gods guidance in not just some of my life, but in every decision I make. I challenge you as I challenge my self in fully trusting that what God has in store for us is fully his plan and that even when we feel it makes no complete sense, or just truly sucks, he is eternal and what he has for us is far greater than we could ever imagine!

Today Tim shaun darren and I went to Chapinque and climbed up one of the mountains to a weather tower. It was about 8 miles uphill!! We had soo much fun and it was great to set such a high goal and reach it!! It was a huge challenge for me to do it and It was soo releiveing to get to the top!! I am soooo wooped right now though!! haha. we had a great time just talking and hanging out. Some parts were extremly steep, and it was great to see how we help each other succede. There were times when I thought I wasnt gonna make it, but I woul pray and trust God, and out of no where I would get this feeling of comfort and streangth! I learned alot of things today about my own inner,..and physical streaghths, but it was great to she how I grew spiritually! I applied alot of the challenge I had today to my life and saw how God has helped me and or can help me succede my goals and succede in become closing to him. Trusting him is number 1 in everything!!! Thanks for an awesome day God!!
Tonight we had a mexican buffet here on campus. They cook the food right in front of you and you just keep eating!!! We salsa danced all night! It was crazing and my legs were already tired!! haha. We all had a blast and it was great to hang out with everyone!!! I am going to sleep very well tonight!! Tomorrow 4 groups come!!!!!!

"LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken."
